Welcome....to the wonderful world of The Carbs. Quite simply the finest R&B and Rock 'n' Roll band on Earth as well as one of the most modest! If you've seen the band perform you'll know what we're talking about.

Jon Heslop - Piano / Jon Heslop - Piano / Organ & Vocals

A (young) veteran of the North West music scene, Jon's R&B piano is second to none as those of you who've heard it will testify. Close your eyes and you could be back in Ferriday Louisiana c1956 listening to the Ol' Killer himself!

On top of that, he's got a fine set of lungs on him and has been known to drive the female members of the audience to distraction when he plays his organ. (Please, like The Carbs, give a home to an old joke).

Chris Todd - Guitar & Vocals

"Needs more carbs" - a phrase rarely used to describe Todd's approach to fitness and diet. Another (even younger) veteran, he'll have to buy a new guitar one day but is intent on wringing a few more years out of his trusty electric blue Strat.

A genuine lover of all things R&B and Rock 'n' Roll, you'd be hard pressed to find the Chuck Berry or Albert King riff he hasn't lifted note for note. All said and done, he's as authentic as any Chicago blues player and singer this side of Bolton.

Julian Latimer - Bass

Helping to considerably reduce the overall weight of the band is our newest member, Julian.

Hailing from Bury way, he is well-known to many on the circuit as one of the best bass players around. A wealth of experience in blues and rock playing has meant a string of seamless performances from the word go.

Next time you come to see us, ask nicely and we're sure he'll serve up one of his funky solos - not to be missed!
