2009 marks the 50th Anniversary of Motown Records, and coincides with the 10th Anniversary of Diane Shaw's unique Motown Tribute Show.

Many celebrations are taking place this year to mark the longevity and popularity of one of music's most famous genres and Diane' show is more in demand than ever.

Many venue owners (hotels, cabaret clubs etc) are finding they are increasingly having to cut back dramatically on entertainment budgets.

But for venues that normally book bands, some are finding that booking top quality solo acts can be a great way of halving their costs whilst still pulling in customers.

However, not many solo entertainers can work at this level as it requires exceptional stage presence as well as experience and technical backup to handle large audiences.

These are just some of the reasons why Diane Shaw is becoming increasingly busy in 2009.

Diane brings to the stage a non-stop and dynamic tour-de-force of the timeless soul classics, bringing the spirit of the great soul divas to life in a spectacular and spine-tingling presentation.

Once described as the 'most famous unknown singer' in the UK, Diane Shaw has in her career probably performed in front of more people than a lot of the singers in the pop charts today and is being heralded the freshest thing to hit the UK Soul scene in years bringing an enthusiasm and energy rarely seen on stage today.

From the dynamic and emotive ballads of the likes of Gladys Knight and Diana Ross, venturing into Soul classics from the likes of Martha Reeves, Tammi Terrell, The Elgins and the Velvelettes, ending up with the whole room on their feet dancing to a tribute to the classics of Motown including The Supremes, The Vandellas and even her own versions of classics from the likes of the Four Tops and the Isley Brothers it's true that Diane's show has something for everyone..... and guarantees to have you DANCING in the AISLES.

I first saw Diane at a hotel in Doncaster. So taken aback by her powerful performance I went to see her again before booking her for a private function I was arranging in 2003. Again I booked Diane for a friends birthday party and she never disappointed us - a fantastic performance. I was fortunate enough to again see Diane in December last year at a public event in the Midlands. This lady has an incredible talent, a remarkable voice - but most of all, she is so down to earth.. on the stage she is a star but one who always has time to chat, have photos taken and please her audience... Recommend her ?
