The Amazing Amanda Bancroft: Top Class Soprano with many TV & radio credits. Amanda Bancroft gained much of her experience as a singer with the well known girl band The Cover Girls, taking them all over the world in theatre and cabaret, as well as numerous television and radio performances in this country.
During this time they supported many well known artists including Vince Hill with whom they were resident guests on the weekly Radio 2 show, as well as being the support act to Andy Williams on his tour of the UK.
After leaving the band, Amanda Bancroft branched out on her own, continuing to support Vince Hill on his radio show as well as doing theatre and cabaret.
Her work on Radio 2 also included session work for the late night show Night Ride.
Having originally trained as a classical singer with Robert Bowman, producer of Radio 2 Melody For You, Amanda Bancroft has more recently returned to her love of classical music after taking time out to have a family.
Using orchestral backing tracks, her act consists of popular classical numbers, along with well known songs from the shows.
This successful combination is now wowing audiences of all ages.
