“Come For Dinner” invitations are always accepted gratefully if your guests know they can expect good food, great company and a welcoming table with a relaxed host / hostess.
Ask for details on adding your venue to our database so we can provide you with excellent entertainment for any event.
The good host / hostess is keen to have everything ‘ spot on’ with minimum fuss and effort and without constantly running in and out to replenish the table.
A Buffet Dinner Party is a great way to entertain with the minimum formality as guests help themselves and come back for more! Home entertaining CAN be fun – and as you’re a good hostess you’ll make sure this is so.
Who would you like to entertain you at your Buffet Party?
John Gallagher – his caricatures are always ‘spot on’ but tasteful, never disrespectful.
A recipe from the ’60′s:
1 x 8oz can cocktail sausages, 6 rashers streaky bacon, 12 button mushrooms, 3 x tomatoes, 1 small green pepper, 1 oz butter.
Prepare a medium grill. Drain a can of sausages and discard liquid. Remove rind and bone from bacon and cut each rasher in half. Flatten pieces with back of a knife and roll up each one. Wash mushrooms and cut each tomato into quarters. Remove seeds and pith from green pepper and cut into 12 small pieces.
Arrange, on each of 6 skewers, 3 sausages, 2 bacon rolls, 2 pieces of tomato, 2 pieces of green pepper and 2 pieces of mushroom. Brush with melted butter. Grill for 20 25 minutes and serve on a bed of boiled rice.
