A recipe from the ’60′s:
Copenhagen Kebabs.
1 x 8oz can cocktail sausages, 6 rashers streaky bacon, 12 button mushrooms, 3 x tomatoes, 1 small green pepper, 1 oz butter.
Method
Prepare a medium grill. Drain a can of sausages and discard liquid. Remove rind and bone from bacon and cut each rasher in half. Flatten pieces with back of a knife and roll up each one. Wash mushrooms and cut each tomato into quarters. Remove seeds and pith from green pepper and cut into 12 small pieces.
Arrange, on each of 6 skewers, 3 sausages, 2 bacon rolls, 2 pieces of tomato, 2 pieces of green pepper and 2 pieces of mushroom. Brush with melted butter. Grill for 20 25 minutes and serve on a bed of boiled rice.
