Emerald is a Yorkshire based band of experienced musicians who specialise in pop/rock and ceilidh music

Led by an Irish female singer, Emerald’s unique combination of Irish and Yorkshire heritage creates a magical evening’s entertainment with a budget to suit all our clients.

Emerald brings together some of the top session and live players from across the country, based in Yorkshire.

The band is led by an Irish singer/pianist with over 10 years’ experience performing as part of numerous pop/rock bands alongside a successful solo career. Each member of the band has years of session and live experience, having played across the UK for other groups and solo artists at top venues including Havens, Butlins, Hilton Hotels, O2 Arena and hundreds of private engagements.

With a diverse repertoire of popular music spanning five decades, Emerald are able to create a custom-made set list to suit your event. Performing the most iconic songs from the 60s through to contemporary chart hits, they guarantee to get everyone on the dancefloor!

The band provide all their own equipment, PA and lighting and an optional iPod ‘virtual DJ’ after sets.

Get your guests on the dance floor! Book Emerald’s solo pianist/singer for your wedding breakfast, the full 5 piece ceilidh band with caller for the first set, followed by our energetic pop/rock set then finish the night off with the virtual DJ.

The following are our most popular line up options when booking on weddings, functions and parties. Feel free to mix and match to whatever suits your event!

4 piece pop/rock covers band (keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, female lead vocalist, male backing vocals).
5 piece ceilidh band (caller, violin player, guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, Irish singer)

Combination: start the evening with a Ceilidh and finish with the pop/rock set. Free virtual DJ between sets.

Piano/vocal dinner set: Optional piano singer during the meal which includes an early arrival and set up for 3pm, performing for 45 minutes.

Want to finish the night with a disco? For just £50/hour following our set we can turn our full lighting and PA system onto the dance floor and plug in your iPod/CD, saving hundreds on DJ hire!

A typical performance is for 2 x 45 minute sets of live music. Typically, the band arrives at 6pm and finish by 1am or before. The band will arrive earlier when booking the piano/singer set.

Emerald also has an electric drum kit so unlike most bands, they can even perform in venues which have a sound limiter.
