If dancing is more your cup of coffee, then they do a mix of traditional Hoedown material, common American dances and line dance as requested. They cover all the main bases of square and traditional American Dances such as the Virginia Reel and can add in line dances and mix in country songs suitable for free form dancing.
Hoedown find that their approach to calling and the mix of dances is ideal for audiences who may be not be familiar with hoedown or line dancing or indeed any kind of dancing at all. They have been successfully playing at American themed events, country music clubs and to American ex-pats for a number of years and have often had return bookings so we guess they must be doing something right.

“A really good time was had by all! Thank you for all of your hard work and patience in explaining the dances – I feel that people enjoy it most when they know what to do… and the band were brilliant. We had a lot of aching legs the next day (me included!) however the feedback that we got back was brilliant and many claimed it was our best ‘surprise’ yet.” – Carol Bader (Molly Maid Franchise Support)
“Just a short note to reiterate my heartfelt thanks for a superb evening last night. I knew I was engaging one of the best bands around but you all surpassed yourselves last night.
The idea of an evening of traditional dancing had been met with some resistance but I persevered and with your help the result was one of the most successful events the 1853 Association has held. There are a lot of aching legs and faces this morning and it is all your fault !!!” – Mandy Wright, (1853 Association, Royal Russell School, Croydon)
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank yourself & the band for the fantastic entertainment at our wedding reception on 1 August.
Everyone had a really great time & it was wonderful seeing all of our family & friends up & dancing. The caller that we had on the evening was absolutely fantastic (especially during the last dance when she jumped in to make up the numbers). A number of our party had never been to a dance of this kind before & because of her were old hands at it by the end of the night & others who have held dances themselves kept telling me how good they felt you were.” – Sarah Bennett (the bride).
