Licensed To Lounge is a live 3-piece band (piano / vocal, male lead vocal, female lead vocal) playing stripped-down, chilled-out, acoustic, jazz, unplugged, cool, lounge versions of rock and dance songs.
Covering tunes by The Killers, Coldplay, Cee Lo Green, Bon Jovi, Snow Patrol, A-Ha, Jessie J, Amy Winehouse, Soft Cell, Radiohead and many others. Enough for more than a two hour set, in fact.
It’s a real talking point and is already proving very popular with discerning clients who know that they don’t want ‘just another jazz band‘ to play through dinner…..!
Playing at corporate functions, weddings, birthday parties etc, both in the UK and abroad….anywhere you’d expect to find jazz, they’ll be there doing their (rather different, cool and not really jazz) thing.
They have already performed this set at many events (weddings and corporates), including the Oxo Tower in London for a party for Saga, an event in Paris for an American insurance company, Biolab UK, Leicester City Football Club and many others. For overseas performances it’s really quite a simple set-up – a piano (a real one or an electric) and three microphones!
In addition, if a client wants a dance set afterwards, then they can offer either the three of them performing a dance set with high quality backing tracks (with guitar) or, of course, a full Lost In Music band set.
