West London Jazz Collective has an extensive repertoire and play all types of Jazz, Funk, Soul, Classic, Modern, Latin and Fusion influenced tunes. They also play a variety of their own original modern compositions.

WEST LONDON JAZZ COLLECTIVE BAND MEMBERS BIOG:
Feng Bao, Guitar: Feng is a BMus graduate of the Tech Schools (London College Of Music, TVU) in Acton. He now works as a session guitarist for the same school with experience in many genres of music, with Jazz, Latin & Soul being his main focus. He is currently working with an Afro-Latin group (Lokandes) with performances @ Glastonbury 2010, Big Chill 2010, Carnival Del Pueblo 2010 and many more.
Gori Matas, Keyboards: Gori started his musical career in Spain, studying classical piano and music for over 10 years. In 2008 he moved to London to pursue a career in Jazz, Latin and Fusion. He performs regularly with different artist around Europe. He is a natural musician, able to play a wide range of styles to highest standards.
Chema Sacristan, Drums: Chema is an experienced drummer from Madrid. He studied at Tech Music schools in London. Having performed in Bristol with many different bands he decided to move to London and completed a degree in drums. He is an all-rounded player, able to play Jazz, Latin and many other music styles.
Daida Carbonell, Vocals: Barcelona’s singer, Daida Carbonell has had experience from an early age with dance, theatre and music. Currently studying at LCM in Ealing. She is an able entertainer with a sultry voice and has a great stage presence.
Joe James, Bass: Originally from the U.K’s West Country, Joe is an Upright/ electric bass player and completed a degree in Music at LCM. He is a talented young player performing with several Word music and Jazz bands in the London circuit.
Gabriel Lavenant, Percussion: Gabriel is a French producer and percussionist based in London since 2006. His performances are truly inspiring and uplifting. Able to play Congas, Bongos, Cajon and all types of percussion sets he is the perfect complement for our Latin and world influenced tunes.
BAND’S BIOG: The West London Jazz Quartet was born in 2010, when four young and talented musicians, from the London College of Music decided to get together and create a Modern Jazz Quartet. With a huge range of all-time classics, Funk, Soul, fusion,modern, Latin jazz and of course, our own original songs, The West London Jazz Quartet is one of the youngest and most versatile and original jazz bands around the South East.
The Quartet started performing around London and the South East and building up a reputation… In only a few months the band has developed musically and in many other ways and has created an amazing show with a unique sound due to our many different influences. They have an all rounded repertoire to suit all types of audiences and venues.
Whether you are into classic, modern jazz or Funk, Soul and Latin, the West London Jazz Quartet is the perfect act to impress all types of audiences, regardless of age and background.

Anika Paul, The Martini Bar at Christopher’s, Covent Garden – ‘The West London Jazz Quartet were fantastic. Here at Christopher’s, we are delighted that we chose them to launch our monthly Sunday Jazz Evenings at our famous Martini Bar. The night was such a success and due to popular demand, we will be hosting another evening with them on 27th March’.
The West London Jazz Collective are happy to travel as much as necessary as long as expenses are covered. They can reach Oxford, Luton, Reading, Swindon, Newbury, Basingstoke, Bristol & Birmingham.
They can be hired as a Trio (Jazz only, no vocals) Quartet, Quintet or 6-piece band but have a bigger and more party sound when hired as a larger band.
