The Yankee Blues Brothers consists of two of the best soul and blues singers you are likely to hear or see singing all the great songs of the Blues Brothers.
Both Jake and Elwood have spent the last 25 years touring Europe in various Blues and Soul bands. Both musicians in their own right playing harmonica, slide guitar and lead guitar.
Having relocated to Essex after touring the Costas of Southern Spain and Gibraltar for the last 7 years they are available to play anywhere in the world. The show lasts for over 2 hours and consists of all songs from both films and has all the humour from the Blues Brothers. It is very much an audience participation show. They also have a wealth of experience doing Weddings, Functions and Corporate events which can also include both their solo shows and a disco.

The show has it’s own PA and lighting which can be supplied for the average size show. All backing tracks are from the original band, not karaoke backing tracks.
The Blues Brothers are an American blues and soul revivalist band founded in 1978 by comedy actors Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi as part of a musical sketch on Saturday Night Live. Belushi and Aykroyd, respectively in character as lead vocalist “Joliet” Jake Blues and harmonica player/vocalist Elwood Blues, fronted the band, which was composed of well-known and respected musicians. The band made its debut as the musical guest on the April 22, 1978, episode of Saturday Night Live.
The band began to take on a life beyond the confines of the television screen, releasing an album, Briefcase Full of Blues, in 1978, and then having a Hollywood film, The Blues Brothers, created around its characters in 1980.
After the death of Belushi in1982, the Blues Brothers have continued to perform with a rotation of guest singers and other band members. The band reformed in 1988 for a world tour and again in 1998 for a sequel to the film, Blues Brothers 2000. They make regular appearances at musical festivals worldwide.
