 Grease the Movie has less than 1 hour and 7 minutes of sung material in it with some of this being completely obscure songs, so 2 x 45's of Grease is not possible without the addition of other material of that era

The standard format for the show is on digital backing tracks as follows, but may also be further enhanced by the addition of optional LIVE band, professional dancers and DJ: A live singing and fully costumed four person cast (two male, two female) work through the most popular songs from Grease (set list attached) whilst contextualising the various songs as sung by characters from the film. This is not always chronological to the film. Over the years we have found it best to strike a balance between allowing time for an audience to warm, and delivering their expectations in terms of order of songs. The opening sequence is "Beauty School Drop-out" which, is performed in a set piece musical theatre style with all of the four singers using a mixture of mime, contemporary dance and physical theatre to set up a dream sequence (male singer in white outfit, girls in beauty salon attire. As this finishes one of the male singers is transformed into a T Bird and he then sings a couple of songs from the film and of that era to encourage audience participation; “Blue Moon”, "Shake Rattle & Roll”, “Rock n Roll is Here to Stay”. This character acts as compare throughout the remainder of the show.

The show culminates with performances of "You're the One That I Want", "We Go Together" and a reworking of "Summer Nights” where the audience are cordially invited to join in by dancing and singing. Although dancing amongst the audience is not essential, this is a LIVE gig that has elements of theatre embedded into it. It is not a theatrical production nor is it a Look-a-Like show. It is a sung and occasionally danced and costumed tribute to Grease and the music of the 1950's, containing all of the key songs, whilst seeking to deliver a darn good party night out in a tongue in cheek way. Access and sound check times – 2 hours minimum prior to on stage (self rig PA and costume / dressing time required).
