Kerry Daynes is a Consultant Forensic Psychologist and presenter of Sky’s The Making of a Monster series.

Her day-to-day work involves everything from shoplifters to serial killers  She is able to talk about her experiences of working with some of Britain’s most dangerous criminals, particular aspects of forensic psychology including risk assessment and offender profiling and how, as a parent, you may avoid turning your child into a psychopath!

Kerry is also available to talk on Flirting for Fun and the Psychology of Love and Attraction; providing some unexpected insights gained through her clinical work.

“We would like to send you our most sincere thanks for your wonderful talk to our Conference.  We have had some very positive feedback from the delegates; One e-mailed us to say 'your keynote speaker was one of the best speakers I have ever heard; fluent, knowledgeable, funny and glamorous. We agreed we could have happily listened to her for several more hours.' You started the Conference off on a high note for which we are most grateful (Jane Mayer, National Women’s Register)”.

Kerry Daynes is the Director of Kerry Daynes Associates, a team of forensic psychologists and psychotherapists who provide assessment, therapy and training services to criminal justice, health and social service agencies who are concerned with persons who present a high risk to themselves or others.

Kerry studied psychology at Sheffield University before embarking on her first job in a Maximum Security Prison.  She subsequently went to work within the NHS as a Trainee Forensic Psychologist and studied for a Masters degree in Legal and Forensic Psychology whilst in training.

Kerry spent almost a decade working in secure units managing and treating mentally disordered offenders before also starting to undertake case work for the Family Law Courts, working with parents whose children had been removed from them as a result of physical and sexual abuse, neglect or domestic violence.

In 2003, Kerry set up her own private practice. She specialises in serious, violent and sexual offending; those who employ Kerry and her team trust her to give clear answers to the questions that arise when such crimes are committed and practical, defensible advice.

Kerry also acts as an Expert Witness in often high-profile Criminal Court Proceedings and lectures in Offender Profiling.  She is a Patron of the National Centre for Domestic Violence.

Kerry is regularly asked to contribute to television documentary, radio and news programmes in her capacity as an expert.  She wrote the ‘Inside the Mind’ column for Crime Confidential Magazine and has written various pieces for the national press. She has recently filmed her own six-part series for the Crime & Investigation Network and is described as ‘not your average Cracker’ by their publicity material.

Kerry is based in Manchester.
