MADE IN ENGLAND
Party three piece covers band delivering rock/pop classics from the seventies to present day with an up-tempo ‘in ya face’ yet light hearted attitude whilst maintaining an all live performance wherever possible.Formed in mid 2001 MADE IN ENGLAND soon became, and still are, one of the busiest bands on the ‘WALKABOUT’ Australasian bar circuit. By the end of 2002 the band had played their first corporate functions; a solicitors’ ball at St Georges Hall, Liverpool and the New Years Eve Gala at Hong Kong Football Club.

The band have continued to develop, playing in Athens, Ireland, Hong Kong, Donnington Park Superbikes, Universities, more corporate functions and weddings throughout the UK and can adapt to virtually any gig, any time, any place!! Line up: Paul Faud: Guitar, lead vocals, backing vocals. Paul started playing guitar at the age of 12, his idols being the big 80’s rock bands, bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Queen and Gary Moore to name a few. He joined his first working band at the age of 19. A few years and several bands later, Paul teamed up with Dave Hobson and “Wanted” was born. This opened up a new style and attitude for Paul, the fun and energy of his personality being reflected in his playing!! The mid 90’s were a very successful time for “Wanted”, already gigging Walkabout bars as well as Europe and the Mediterranean. Unfortunately, this came to an end when Dave retired after a throat operation. Paul continued to play Walkabout bars solo, until he was asked to form a new band. This gave him the perfect opportunity to use the name he always wanted, “MADE IN ENGLAND”………… Michael Nahajski: bass, lead vocal, backing vocal. Michael grew up in Bilston, West Midlands, re-located to Warrington in the late seventies and joined FALLEN ANGEL, a band who, although never signed, played extensively on the UK heavy rock circuit and became a popular support act. In the mid eighties Michael joined MADE IN JAPAN, a show band best known for it’s association with Joe Johnson, and has since maintained a busy gigging schedule as a band member and solo performer. “The most important thing is on-stage attitude. You have to sell it, mean what you’re doing and enjoy it. A gig is not an audition, nobody cares how clever you are … and why should they? Rob Rigby: drums. Rob’s been playing drums and percussion since the mid-eighties and describes his style as ‘World/Folk/Jazz’ which is a surprising appraisal considering the aggression and attack in his rock playing. Credits: 1994 ‘In Flight Tour’ with Vicki Clayton (Fairport Convention) and Rick Sanders (Fairport Convention), 1996 Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Cappercallie), 2001 Fylde Folk Festival, also Night-lights tour (All About Eve) and other live dates alongside Michael Chapman in Dave Gardner’s ‘Hell Fire Preachers’. Album credits: Colours (Chris Bannister) Hell Fire Preachers (Dave Gardner). The set: Although subject to regular review the content of the set is determined by dance floor response and features Brit Pop and American rock classics from bands such as Blur, Oasis, Bon Jovi and Bryan Adams. Made in England carry a full light show and a 5000 watt Nexo PA which gives a good professional sound and look!!
