TRIO GITANO
Trio Gitano perform at prestigious corporate, business and private events throughout the year.The Trio can perform background music, a concert performance, or a combination of the two. TG are used to performing at significant and noteworthy events for businesses and private bookers over the UK and are highly recommended and regularly used by Europe's top music bookers.
TG have performed for private events at venues including Blenheim Palace, The Royal Opera House, Highclere Castle, The Royal College of Art, Holland Park Orangery, Warwick Castle, The National Exhibition Centre, International Convention Centre, to weddings and private parties from 30 - 30,000. A brief account of the Trio's gigs together finds them all over the UK - from the small and intimate 'Blue Note' in Leominster, to the 'Fireworks Fantasia' in Birmingham, before an estimated audience of 30,000. In early 2003, TG made their London-debut in Camden Town, followed by six nights at the Royal Opera House, at the inaugural 'Festival of Firsts' - "a week-long festival showcasing some of the most innovative artists working in the UK today". 2004 saw the Trio perform several sell-out gigs in the Midlands, with over 200 packing a University venue to catch the Trio in Birmingham. On graduating from University in the summer of 2004, the Trio - all now 23 - were finally able to set about recording their long-awaited debut album, which was released in August '2005, with the fledgling Birmingham label, The Birds Recording Company The Trio have also developed a fine relationship with two superb trumpeters, Ray Butcher and Bryan Corbett, with both Ray and Bryan making appearances with the Trio at over the past 18 months, and featuring on the album. With the Album in the making, early 2005 saw spring performances taking in venues including The Spitz, Le Quecumbar, National Theatre, Barfly and Hard Rock Cafe, and a return for a second year to close the Lewes International Guitar Festival. Further festival performances followed at the Cheltenham International Jazz Festival, L'Esprit Manouche and the London Jazz Festival, and most recently, the Trio performed to a capacity crowd at Birmingham's CBSO Centre, bringing in numerous guest performers for the first 'Trio Gitano and Friends' gig.
