Colin Stevens
Colin Stevens is a first class professional one man band entertainer and personality performer playing guitar and keyboards.
His vocal and instrumental repertoire lists over 200 songs from the 50s to the 80s. He covers all styles from Swing to Reggae.
He can also perform for laid back dinner sets, cabaret shows and dancing. With a career spanning over 35 years in the business, Colin has performed in bands, comedy shows and theatre productions throughout the UK, Europe and South Africa.
In the early 70s he played violin in the Manchester Youth Orchestra and in 1976 was a member of Altitude – a 5 piece band touring Europe, Scandinavia and South Africa.
Colin Stevens – One Man Band
1985 involved a move to South Africa to work and in 1988 the band Rock n Roll Madhouse was born. They produced 3 albums and had many TV appearances.
Following on in 1992 Colin became a member of Cheers comedy show band in Durban. 1996 portrayed Colin as musical director for casino shows and corporate functions and in 1999 his Show Doctor recording studios and production company opened. Everything progressed well until the year 2000 when Gold international Boy/Girl duo was formed.
South Africa
2003 – 2010 saw Colin Stevens one man band working throughout South Africa performing music and comedy solo but also performing with shows, bands and duos. In 2012 Cheers Comedy Duo, South Africa’s top comedy duo, appeared on the scene.
An album, DVD and TV appearances followed. Earlier in 2006 Stars Supper Theatre opened in Uhmlanga Rocks and after great success in South Africa Colin, undertaking many projects and challenges, relocated to the UK ….the rest, as they say, is history!
Colin currently works the clubs, pubs, holiday parks and hotels around the East coast of England. A top night of entertainment is guaranteed for all.
